You could call October catch-up with MacLehose Press month as 3 of the 4 novels I reviewed were published by them. It was also a catch up with crime month as all four novels were crime novels. I needed some fast-paced narratives and some slow-paced blogging for a while. For that reason my book of the month is the one that made me turn the pages faster, and the one that kept its villain best hidden.

Books Reviewed

Beast in View – Margaret Millar

Dear Child – Romy Hausmann *** Book of The Month ***

To Cook A Bear – Mikael Niemi

Books Read October 2020

As you can see, I read lot more than I reviewed. The books standing sentry at the back serve as a preview for some of what is to come during German Literature Month X. It all kicks off tomorrow.

This was the view from my living room window on 10th October. I’ve lived here nearly 30 years and never has there been a sunset like it!
