I’m pretty sure I said I’d read these last year, but what difference is another year, when you’ve been waiting for well over a decade on the TBR?
Which book(s) have you chosen for your first read(s) in 2018?

Very pretty! I’m reading an intriguing book called “Locus Solus” – not sure where it’s going just now!
Don’t get lost while you’re going there ….
I started with a French novella Bird in a Cage by Frederic Dard – one of the Pushkin Vertigo series.
Good choice. Can’t go wrong with a book from Pushkin Press …. as my Best of 2017 well demonstrated.
My first book is not part of any project – it’s a crime fiction novel I have for review so need to get that one finished first. And then there is a book for the book club so it will be about 2 weeks before I get to my project books which are the remaining 5 titles on the Booker list (almost there!!) and the first book in a Reading My Life project where I read two books from each year I have been on this planet.
Now I like the idea of Reading My Life …. might join you once I’ve finished my 20th Century Reading Challenge, if I ever do. Was due for completion before I turned 50, then I started this blog. A decade later I still have 19 to read …
Your project takes real determination and committment. I’m sure I would have given up long before now. Did you read them in order of each year or just picked a year as you felt like it?
As I felt like it.
That made it marginally easier I’m sure.
What beautiful looking books!
Lovely edition there my. First book was Ghachar Ghochar by Vivek Shanbhag
To all admiring the physical objects. These are Folio Society volumes, a joy to own and an absolute pleasure to read.
I started with something light (Jami Attenberg’s All Grown Up but will move to a chunkster next – The Heart’s Invisible Furies by Boyne.
Happy reading in 2018!
You have a nice edition of those books. I am reading Anthony Trollope’s Palliser series, just read Phineas Finn and loved it. There are 3 women in his life in that book, will he end up with one of them?
