By The Decades Challenge Completed!

Objective: 10 books 10 decades August 2007 – December 2007

I have to say that this has been one of my favourite challenges this year -a good excuse not to focus on contemporary literatue.

So what did I read? Well it’s in the side bar with links but, as I’ll be removing those some time in 2008, I’ll reiterate here.

1958 The Dark Room of Damocles
1961 The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie
1977 Quartet In Autumn
1989 The Trick Is To Keep Breathing
1997 The Magician’s Wife

Of the ten read, 9 were 4 or 5 star reads.  I didn’t review, Mr Norris, as it was a) the weakest and b) I’m saving my comments for a comparison post with Irmgard Keun’s The Artificial Silk Girl.
